The small hobby-cattery of Merikare (well - in fact an ancient Egyptean king of the 10th dynasty) is situated in a (fortunately) large old apartment in Graz, Austria.
It was created more or less by chance after purchasing two pedigree cats (Abyssinian boy Sasha and Burmilla girl Bella), in the beginning without any intention of breeding.
But our Aby happened to convince us pretty soon that his castration might be a waste of cat beauty and wisdom. Of course he's lacking any racial arrogance, but we thought an additional Abyssinian girl (Mijou) might be best for proliferation (in the meantime we already speculate on a second Aby female - might escalate!).
 
Originally, we also wanted to pursue this Burmilla line - but where are the males (we won't fly to Australia for Bella to mate, or to Norway or ... sorry).
If we happen to find one in an agreeable geographical distance within the next couple of months, ok, else we have to close this chapter.
